India Unveils Women's Asia Cup T20 Squad, Harmanpreet Kaur to Lead

The Indian Women's Selection Committee has announced the squad for the upcoming Women's Asia Cup T20, set to commence on July 19 in Dambulla, Sri Lanka. The ninth edition of the prestigious tournament will witness eight teams vying for continental supremacy in the shortest format of the game.

Harmanpreet Kaur, the experienced campaigner, will don the captain's armband once again, while the dynamic Smriti Mandhana will serve as her able deputy. The squad boasts a blend of experience and youthful exuberance, with established stars and rising talents eager to make their mark on the international stage.

The tournament serves as an ideal platform for the Asian teams to fine-tune their combinations and strategies ahead of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup later this year. It offers an opportunity to experiment with different tactics and identify areas of improvement.

The high-voltage clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan, scheduled for July 19, is sure to captivate fans worldwide. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on July 26, followed by the grand finale on July 28.

The Indian team, led by the formidable Harmanpreet, will begin their campaign against the United Arab Emirates on July 21, followed by a clash with Nepal on July 23 in the group stage.
