'Godzilla x Kong Roars Past Rs. 120 Crore at Indian Box Office

Godzilla x Kong, the colossal clash between two cinematic icons, has continued its dominance at the Indian box office, raking in an impressive Rs. 7.50 crore in its fourth week. This brings the film's total earnings to a staggering Rs. 120 crore, placing it firmly among the highest-grossing Hollywood films in India.

In terms of nett collections, which represent the film's earnings after theater rentals and taxes, Godzilla x Kong is poised to cross the coveted Rs. 100 crore mark. The film currently stands at Rs. 96 crore after four weeks of release, a testament to its enduring popularity.

Tamil Nadu has emerged as a major contributor to Godzilla x Kong's success, accounting for a substantial portion of its collections. With a gross of Rs. 31 crore thus far, the film ranks among the top five highest-grossing Hollywood films in the state. Other South Indian states have also performed well, although the Telugu states and Mysore could have contributed more.

North India, on the other hand, has underperformed slightly, a trend that is not uncommon for films in the Godzilla franchise. Nevertheless, Godzilla x Kong has demonstrated strong holds in its fourth week, experiencing only a 40% drop from the previous week. The weekly drop for Thursday was even more encouraging, clocking in at a mere 30%.

With minimal competition expected in the coming weeks, Godzilla x Kong is well-positioned to maintain its strong performance and potentially reach a closing figure of Rs. 130 crore at the Indian box office.
