Aranmanai 4: A Promising Start, Bolstered by Tamil Nadu's Support

Aranmanai 4, the latest installment in the popular Tamil horror-comedy franchise, made a promising debut at the Indian box office, earning approximately Rs. 5.50 crore on its opening day.

The film's success was primarily driven by Tamil Nadu, where it raked in an impressive Rs. 4.25 crore. This figure matches the first-day performance of Ghilli (re-release) and places Aranmanai 4 as the second-highest opening-day grosser of the year in the state.

The film also performed well in other regions, including AP/TS (Rs. 0.75 crore), Karnataka (Rs. 0.40 crore), and the Rest of India (Rs. 0.10 crore).

Despite a slow start in the morning, Aranmanai 4 witnessed a surge in attendance throughout the day, signaling a positive trend. The film's second-day performance is expected to improve further, potentially surpassing the Rs. 5 crore mark in Tamil Nadu. If favorable attendance continues, it could even touch Rs. 6 crore.

With continued growth on Sunday, Aranmanai 4 has the potential to earn Rs. 17 crore or more over the weekend, establishing a solid foundation for its extended run through the summer.

Hope Revived for Tamil Film Industry

The Tamil film industry has endured a challenging period this year, with no significant successes in the first four months. While Tamil Nadu has witnessed hits from other industries, such as Manjummel Boys, Premalu, Aavesham, and Godzilla x Kong, the local industry has struggled to deliver.

Aranmanai 4 could potentially change this narrative, depending on its performance beyond the weekend. The film's strong opening suggests a renewed sense of optimism in the industry and provides a much-needed boost to the local box office.
