Aranmanai 4 Dominates Box Office, Surpasses Ayalaan as Highest-Grossing Tamil Film

Aranmanai 4 has continued its triumph at the box office, remaining the top-grossing film for the third consecutive week. Despite the release of new films, the Tamil horror comedy has maintained its dominance, earning an impressive Rs. 7.50 crore in the first four days of its third week. This brings its total Indian box office collection to a staggering Rs. 66.50 crore.

Internationally, Aranmanai 4 has also performed remarkably, grossing USD 2.20 million (Rs. 18 crore). This contributes to a worldwide gross of Rs. 84.50 crore, making it the highest-grossing Kollywood film of the year both domestically and globally. The film has surpassed the Pongal release Ayalaan, setting a new benchmark in Kollywood cinema.

Domestically, Aranmanai 4 has earned Rs. 37.75 crore in its first week and Rs. 21.25 crore in its second week. In its third week, it held strong with a drop of less than 50 percent, earning Rs. 1.50 crore on Friday, Rs. 2 crore on Saturday, Rs. 2.70 crore on Sunday, and Rs. 1.30 crore on Monday.

In Tamil Nadu alone, Aranmanai 4 has grossed Rs. 55.25 crore, trailing closely behind Ayalaan's Rs. 56 crore. However, it is expected to surpass this milestone shortly. The film's strong performance in its third week indicates its potential to surpass Manjummel Boys as the highest-grossing film of the year in the state, with a final figure potentially exceeding Rs. 65 crore.

Aranmanai 4 has not only become the most successful film in the franchise's history, but it is also poised to surpass the combined box office collections of the previous three films in Tamil Nadu. Adjusted for inflation, it has significantly outperformed the 2014 release Aranmanai, which grossed Rs. 22 crore (equivalent to over Rs. 40 crore today).

Territorially, Aranmanai 4's box office collections are as follows:

Tamil Nadu: Rs. 55.25 croren AP/TS: Rs. 6.00 croren Karnataka: Rs. 4.00 croren Rest of India: Rs. 1.25 crore

This exceptional performance solidifies Aranmanai 4's position as one of the most successful Tamil films of the year, and its continued reign at the box office is a testament to its wide appeal and audience engagement.
