In 2019, Jagan Shakti's directorial debut with Akshay Kumar, Mission Mangal, became a resounding commercial success, garnering acclaim from both audiences and critics. Following the film's triumph, Shakti embarked on an action-thriller project with Tiger Shroff under Pooja Entertainment, but the venture was later shelved after filming commenced for a month.
Presently, Shakti is engaged in negotiations with renowned actor Ajay Devgn for a future cinematic collaboration. Sources close to the project divulge that the duo has conversed extensively over the past months, exploring the possibility of joining forces.
Devgn is enthusiastic about the concept proposed by Shakti and eagerly anticipates their partnership. While the specific genre and project details remain confidential, the potential premise has captivated Devgn's imagination. They are actively discussing the finer points and logistical arrangements, revealed a well-informed source.
The film, slated for production under Devgn's banner, Devgn Films, is poised to commence filming in early 2025. Devgn's schedule currently bursts with forthcoming commitments. He nears the completion of Rohit Shetty's directorial venture, Singham Again, part of the Cop Universe franchise. Additionally, he has De De Pyaar De 2 and Son of Sardar 2 scheduled for production from June 2024 onwards.
Devgn has also pledged his participation in Indra Kumar's Dhamaal 4 and Rohit Shetty's comedy extravaganza, Golmaal 5. However, the exact timelines for these projects await the finalization of scripts by the respective directors.
