Tom Sandoval isn't the only Vanderpump Rules cast member who has drawn interest for a spot on The Traitors. Lala Kent has revealed that she too was approached for Season 2 of the reality competition show, but the timing didn't align for her.
The timing would have to be different, Kent said in an interview with US Weekly. For Season 2, they reached out to gauge my interest in joining, and the timing was just really hard. Kent hinted at the possibility of considering a future appearance on the show. I never really say no to an opportunity, she remarked.
Kent shared her thoughts on Sandoval's participation in The Traitors after his eventful year on Vanderpump Rules, which was marked by his infidelity with co-star Raquel Leviss. You told me during the last Amazon Live that Tom Sandoval is on it this season, Kent said. I'm like, 'That would be tough.' Because literally you are either labeled a traitor or a faithful.
If they made him a traitor, it would be too obvious, but if they made him a faithful it won't be too obvious, she continued. Maybe I go with the less obvious choice. Despite the drama, Kent expressed support for Sandoval's involvement in the new show. I'm really excited, she said. I hope he doesn't go home — I really want to psychoanalyze all of them.
Sandoval will join other reality TV stars on The Traitors, including Dorinda Medley, Chanel Ayan, Dolores Catania, and Robyn Dixon from Bravo Housewives; Bob the Drag Queen from RuPaul's Drag Race; Wells Adams from Bachelor in Paradise; and Britney Hayes and Danielle Reyes from Big Brother. Alan Cumming returns as the host of the show.
Sandoval's appearance on The Traitors marks his second reality TV appearance since his affair scandal. Last year, he participated in Season 2 of Fox's Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, where he interacted with former child star JoJo Siwa.
Siwa observed that Sandoval was preoccupied during the filming due to the scandal. Tom Sandoval was there, and it was right when Scandoval was happening, Siwa said. He was very in his head. I told him, 'Tom, none of us care here. No offense. Your problems are the least of our worries.'
The Traitors has released Seasons 1 and 2 on Peacock.
