BTS' Jimin Shatters Records with iTunes Success of 'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band'

Within hours of its release, BTS member Jimin's Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO) has become a global sensation, topping the iTunes charts in an unprecedented 100 regions worldwide. This remarkable achievement makes it the fastest K-pop solo song to reach this milestone in 2024.

Serving as a pre-release for Jimin's upcoming second solo album, MUSE, Smeraldo Garden Marching Band debuted on June 28, alongside a captivating music video. The song, featuring the vocals of South Korean rapper LOCO, explores the unspoken truths that words often cannot convey.

Inspired by the Beatles' legendary album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, Jimin's collaborators, producers Pdogg, GHSTLOOP, and EVAN, playfully referred to themselves as Smeraldo Garden Marching Band during the creation process.

Coincidentally, the name Smeraldo holds a special significance within the BTS universe, representing the untold truth. Through the song's lyrics, Jimin references the fictional flower, paying homage to BTS's song The Truth Untold from their LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR album.

Currently fulfilling his mandatory military service, Jimin enlisted on December 12, 2023. He is expected to be discharged on June 11, 2025, alongside bandmate Jungkook. Despite his absence, Jimin's music continues to captivate listeners worldwide, evidenced by the overwhelming success of Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. LOCO).
