'Landslide Severs Lifeline in Arunachal Pradesh
A devastating landslide has wreaked havoc in Arunachal Pradesh, severing a crucial highway and isolating the Dibhang Valley district. The Roing Anini Highway, which connects the border with China and serves as the sole artery linking Dibhang Valley to the rest of India, has been severely damaged.

Expressing his concern, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu emphasized the urgency of restoring connectivity. He has directed authorities to expedite repairs, recognizing the vital role of the highway in maintaining socio-economic links with the rest of the country.
The district administration of Dibhang Valley has issued a public notice informing residents that restoration could take 'at least three days.' The statement urges caution and encourages adherence to safety guidelines until normal conditions resume.
