The hotly contested electoral battleground of Maharashtra is expected to witness a significant victory for the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, according to the News18 exit poll. The poll predicts that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to secure 32-35 seats, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alone capturing 20-23 seats. The Indian National Democratic Alliance (INDIA) bloc, on the other hand, is projected to win only 15-18 seats, with the Indian National Congress (Congress) winning 6-8 seats.

The News18 exit poll also predicts a notable surge in the BJP's performance in the southern states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The poll forecasts that the BJP will secure 36-39 seats in these states, while the Congress is expected to win 31-34 seats.

India TV-CNX, another prominent pollster, has projected an even more significant victory for the NDA, predicting a range of 371-401 seats for the alliance. The INDIA bloc, in contrast, is projected to win 109-139 seats. Notably, CNX is the first pollster to forecast a possible tally of over 400 seats for the NDA. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target of 370 seats for the BJP and 400 seats for the NDA, while the opposition has predicted that the BJP will fall short of 200 seats.
Himachal Pradesh and Punjab Exit Polls
The Axis My India exit poll has predicted a clean sweep for the BJP in Himachal Pradesh, while the Congress is expected to emerge victorious in neighboring Punjab. The poll projects 7-9 seats for the Congress in Punjab and 2-4 seats for the BJP.
