On Wednesday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was taken into three-day CBI custody in connection with the liquor policy case. The Rouse Avenue Court granted the custody request while considering Kejriwal's plea for certain concessions. During his custody, Kejriwal will have his eyeglasses, take prescribed medication, eat home-cooked meals, possess a Bhagavad Gita, and meet his family for an hour each day. The AAP leader mentioned his daily ritual of reading the Gita before sleep. He also requested a belt to hold his pants during his transfer to Tihar Jail, deeming it embarrassing otherwise. However, Special Judge Amitabh Rawat denied this request. Kejriwal, already in Tihar Jail for a money laundering case, was formally arrested by the CBI on Wednesday. He will return to court by 7 pm on June 29.
